A State Emergency Service is an Australian volunteer organization that will bring emergency support in floods, storms and other emergencies. Each state & territory inside Australia has its own State (or even Territory) Emergency Service, & there are 43,000 volunteers spread nationwide. Because each community is different, each SES Unit has the slightly different placed of roles & activities. Based in local needs, the Unit might perform occasionally or even 100% one roles:

Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts A professional organization of the trustees of fire protection districts in Northern Illinois who oversee the operation and administration of the district's affairs. IFCA - Illinois Fire Chiefs Association Promotes excellence in the fire service by providing a network of information sharing and opportunities to a diverse membership and associated partnerships through education, legislation and technical means. Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Labor union offering information and resources to its members through bargaining, legislation, statues, forums and contacts. IFSA - Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Dedicated to fire safety and burn prevention through public education programs and services. Events calendar, legislation, safety programs, and recognition programs are featured. Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal Offers fire safety programs and services to citizens, fire fighting agencies and organizations throughout the state. Features kid's area, awareness and education, arson investigations, and contacts. Illinois Wing Civil Air Patrol State headquarters for United States Air Force Auxiliary Force. Offers information on adult and cadet programs, emergency services, such as search and rescue, and aerospace education. IEMA - Illinois Emergency Management Agency State agency. Offers news, information and training resources, programs and services on emergency preparedness and response. Features a kid's page, links and contacts. IESMA - Illinois Emergency Services Management Association Non-profit organization that assists state and local governments maintain effective emergency services and emergency management programs. Information on resources, programs, history, membership levels, and newsletter. |
